The County Government of Nyeri through the Department of Trade, Tourism and Co-operative Development has kicked off the verification of traders to determine their validity. The Trade directorate estimates a total 1,600 traders to be verified. This is to ensure that transparency and accountability is adhered to. The two days’ excise ended on 11th November 2018. After the verification, Department of Trade will hold a meeting with the market committee to come up with a way forward on the distribution and allocation of market space to traders.
