Nyeri National ASK Show is currently going on  at Kabiru-ini Showgrounds.The show which will end on Saturday 15th September is expected to be  officially opened by  H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday. This year’s theme is ‘Promoting Innovation in Trade and Agriculture. Over 110 exhibitors are expected to participate in this year’s show. On 6th of September 2018,Nyeri County Deputy Governor H.E Caroline Karugu met The Indian High Commissioner to Kenya, Her Excellency Suchitra Durai and secured one hundred and thirty(130) fully funded scholarships to India in the field of agro-processing and manufacturing through the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC). Thirty(30) of these scholarships will be specifically offered to empower Nyeri Women through technical education and the rest of the opportunities are open to all youth of Nyeri county. The first ever County Audit Committee has  been inaugurated into office on 31st August 2018  by Nyeri Governor H.E. Mutahi Kahiga. The committee members are Michael Chege, Pauline Wanjiru, John Ngure Mwangi and Nyeri Education CEC Margaret Macharia and will be led by Chairperson Sophie Moturi.  The team is expected to audit financial operations in the county since the last financial year. CCTV Cameras Installation to boost security in Nyeri Town.

The  National Government is planning on a CCTV Cameras Installation  in Nyeri Town to enhance security in the town.The project is expected to embark in the next few months of the year 2018.cameras and  is aimed to ensure reduction and control of insecurity cases in the town.
