Pursuant to section 35 of the County Government Act, 2012 – County Government of Nyeri, hereby invites applications for qualified and competent citizens to fill vacancies in the following departments.
COUNTY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS (2 POSITIONS)
• Health Services
• County Public Service & Solid Waste Management
FUNCTIONS OF THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBER
In addition to the functions provided under Article 183 of the Constitution, in accordance with Section 36 of the County
Government Act, 2012, County Executive Committee Member shall:-
a) Supervise the administration and delivery of service in the County and all decentralized units and agencies in
b) Perform any other functions conferred by the Constitution or National legislation; and
c) Carry out any function incidental to any of the assigned functions.
The applicants will be required to possess the following:-
(a) Be a Kenyan citizen;
(b) Be a holder of at least a first degree from a recognized University in Kenya; (Masters degree is an added advantage)
(c) Satisfies the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
(d) Has knowledge and experience and a distinguished career of not less than five years in the field relevant to the portfolio of the department to which the person is being appointed.

Terms of Service: on contract as provided for in the County Government’s Act.
Remuneration is per Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) – Salaries and benefits Circulars for the position.
