Toyota Kenya Opens a new branch in Nyeri

H.E Governor Mutahi Kahiga was honoured to officially open the new Toyota Kenya Nyeri branch  as the chief guest on 14th March 2019.

The County Government of Nyeri warmly welcomes yet another global brand to join the Nyeri business community.

Toyota is an international brand which  many Kenyans have identified themselves with .

While speaking during the opening of the branch, Governor Kahiga welcomed Toyota Kenya to Nyeri County and reiterated his commitment to making Nyeri a preferred business destination for investors.

The County Government of Nyeri led by HE Mutahi Kahiga has endeavored to create a conducive business environment to make Nyeri an attractive investment destination through improved infrastructure and other incentives. The County Government has also developed an open door policy to make it easier for investors to navigate the county bureaucracy and cut the red tape.

The opening of Toyota Center in Nyeri is a testament that our efforts are paying off.

Recently, Davis & Shirtliff, DTB Bank, Cyton, Komposite Kenya from America among others have all set up their branches in Nyeri county.

The County Government has cumulatively attracted in excess of 1 Billion worth of new investment with the potential of creating more than 500 jobs.

The governor further invited Toyota Kenya through Toyota Kenya Foundation which seeks to provide opportunities for Kenyan children from disadvantaged families to pursue either Basic and/or High School or College education in the fields of medicine, engineering, environmental management & agriculture, to partner with Nyeri County in their effort to promote education of disadvantaged students in Nyeri County.

The County Government has this week been issuing bursary cheques worth 100 million in provision of over 13,827 bursaries to needy and endowed children all over the county.

Toyota Kenya through its managing Director, Arvinder Reel, thanked the governor for honouring the invite and promised that his company will work closely with his government in serving the people of Nyeri.

Mr Arvinder Reel was accompanied by Toyota Kenya Chairman, Ambassador Dennis Awori and Barclays bank Business banking Director, Elizabeth Wazuna.

Also in attendance were County secretary, Ben Gachichio, CEC finance Robert Thuo and Economic advisor Ndirangu Gachunia.
