The Nyeri County Project Coordinating Team (CPCT) conducted public participations meant to validate projects under the Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Project II (KISIP 2) at Kiawara and Mweiga settlements in Nyeri Town sub-county and Kieni West sub-county respectively.
Kiawara settlement is set to have it’s roads tarmacked, construction of modern drainage systems, footpaths, street-lights, installation of two dumpsters, sewer connections and two floodlights erected. Tarmacking of roads, construction of drainage systems, footpaths, streetlights, floodlight, installation of two dumpsters and 450 individual water connection works will be done at Mweiga settlements.
Present were; Rware ward MCA Hon. Simon Mbogo , Mweiga ward MCA Hon. Njuguna Kawanjiku, Social Safeguards Officer Doris Mwangi, Project M&E Officer Harry Ndumia, Environment Officer Faith Karanja and Engineers Caroline Matara & Joseph Muigai from Gath Consulting Engineers & Losai Management Ltd among others.
