Routine site inspection at Mweiga settlement in Mweiga Ward, Kieni West sub-county and Kiamwathi settlement in Ruring’u Ward, Nyeri Central sub-county

The County Coordinator of the Second Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Program (KISIP 2), Beatrice Koech led a routine site inspection at Mweiga settlement in Mweiga Ward, Kieni West sub-county and Kiamwathi settlement in Ruring’u Ward, Nyeri Central sub-county.
The visit involved collaboration between the National Project Coordinating Team (NCPT), County Project Coordinating Team (CPCT), and key stakeholders including the Consultant Gath Consulting Engineers & Losai Management Ltd and the Contractor High Point & Pinnie Agency Limited.
The settlements will benefit from infrastructure upgrading including but not limited to; construction of tarmac roads with efficient drainage systems, street lights, footpaths, seamless water connections through trunk and consumer connections, solid waste management by installation of dumpsters in-line with the KISIP 2 primary development objective of improving access to basic services in informal settlements.
