On 15th November 2018, County Government of Nyeri hosted a team from IBM, Coca-Cola and K-YES (USAID) for a meeting to come up with a partnership matrix for rolling out their programs. County Government of Nyeri will establish a Customer Care Desk to be addressing complaints from the citizenry. The officers in charge of the desk will have  been trained on how to handle and adequately resolve issues. Health Services CS Sicily Kariuki has launched the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) registration in Nyeri County.The exercise kicked off at Nyeri Town Health Centre  on Monday, 12th November  2018 with Nyeri Governor H.E. Mutahi Kahiga being the first to register. The two – week- programme which will be conducted by County Government of Nyeri staff assisted by  more than 2000 Community Health Volunteers  will ensure every resident of the county is registered. The County Government of Nyeri through the Department of Youth, Gender and Social Services in partnership with Africa Youth Trust successfully organised and held an Advocacy Training at Green Hills Hotel, Nyeri town on 31st October 2018. There are 25 dairy cooperatives in Nyeri County spread out in all sub counties. Kieni East leads with 8 followed by Kieni West 7,Tetu 4,Mukurewini 2, Othaya 1, Mathīŕa 2 and Nyeri Central 1.Farmers who are members of these cooperatives also produce other commodities such as potatoes, onions, vegetables such as cabbages etc. While farmers are able to use their bulk milk volumes and institutional set-up to negotiate better prices for their milk they exposed when selling other commodities.
