The CEC in charge of Agriculture livestock and Fisheries Mr.Fred Kinyua   had the pleasure of closing the two days (ATSS) exhibition that was opened by the H.E the Governor Mutahi Kahiga on 22nd November 2018.
In a nutshell, ATS symposium and exhibition, pointed out that different organizations in the tea industry and institutions of higher learning should be at the forefront to facilitate research. It is  the findings from these studies that has led to improvement of the production technologies and enhanced product diversification. The need for cottage industries being established in the tea sector was also factored out so as to increase competition that will help improve these production technologies. Not forgetting the farmer, emphasis was put on farmers getting sustained good and regular pay.
In his remarks Mr. Kinyua did put a lot of emphasis on the need for continued research in the tea sector. In addition, he  appreciated all the dignitaries and exhibitors for selecting Nyeri to host this exhibition. He urged them, to take advantage of this time and visit our tourist’s attraction sites.
