Kenya National Highway Authority KeNHA has reconstructed a new ablution block for Chaka market residents it had previously demolished.
This came after a petition was launched by the County Government of Nyeri and Kieni MP Kanini for wrongful demolition of this sanitation utility.
H. E Governor Mutahi Kahiga accompanied by Kieni MP Kanini Kega joined KeNHA officials led by their Chairman Erastus Mwongera in the official opening of this ablution block on Friday, 03rd May 2019.
This block has both female and male sections each with a bathroom and enough water to adequately serve residents.
Governor Mutahi has urged residents to take advantage of the UHC program and get tested for diseases for early detection as this makes treatment easier at the same time easing the financial burden for the affected families.
Hon. Kanini Kega noted that all Nyeri County leaders are working together towards the realization of the county’s vision of having wealthy ,healthy and happy people.
